Fox & Hounds Get Together....

As usual a darn great time had by all.

A small group of us showed up at this event, but great to be able to chat with those that can understand the English language, slang as well as jokes and such.

Seems that we cleared the rest of the establishment. I really must figure out how we do that as that come in handy at times. Mostly so when Christmas shopping at the last minute as usual.

Our waiter "Joe" was a great bloke who just let us jabber on and joined in at times.

The fish'n'chips was great, so well worth a visit to the
Fox & Hounds in Independence.

It'll be worth the trip.

Since starting the club in March of 2005, blimey time has flown by... Anyhow, we've met up with some great people with club members and with those of where we've had our various meetings.

We always have a great time.

Sometimes a wee bit scarey, especially at a certain event up in Leavenworth a few months ago. Click here to learn more about that event.

Always a great laugh as well great conversation.

Margaret and Frank were just there with us this time around as I'd had to change the meeting date at the last minute.

I'm sorry to those who lost out on that, but we hope to meet up with you all soon, and have a few more hours of laughs and such.

Has anyone noticed how long we end up staying at the various places ?.

I think 6 hours has been our longest get together, and that was with the two British blokes walking across the USA.

Actually, it may well have been longer, but bloody great fun, so please don't think i'm complaining.

Well, it's taken me awhile to do this posting as still trying to get used to using it all.

Hopefully, it'll become easier to use over time.

Cheers for looking.

Bollywood is Open Again!!!....

Ironically my first entry is concerning one of the local tandoori restaurants which re-opened just a few days ago.
They noted it was a grand opening, but more a Grand Re-opening.

After 3 months of reading the computer printer sign on the door "Due to unavoidable circumstances, we will be closed today".

Just 3 months later post another message that they will be opening on the 20th July.

Well, it was straght down there that the wife and i went on the open evening hoping to get the good old favourite Byriani only to be told they only had two dishes available, vegetarian, or non-vegetarian.
A certain dissapointment, but one I can live with.

However, evasive answers as to why they were closed for so long has brought some suspician as we've heard that they were either on holiday in Japan, or Texas, or they were purely closed for remodelling which looks to be just getting rid of a few chairs, and adding a comfy new padded bench, and a few lighted stars to the decor.

The staff are the same, and are quite friendly.

Anyhow, will someone satisfy our, i mean myself and anyone else's curiosity as to why they were really closed for so long.

I hope they get around to adding some more choices to their menu soon although the taj Mahal isn't too far from there.

Welcome to the new Blog

Well, here we are. I've finally got back to starting another blog.
The last one didn't get very far because I forgot the log ins for it.

I hope to be able to bring some news for local Brit's of various events in and around the Kansas City area as well as incorporate events for our members from around the rest of the USA, and the globe.

Add a few views on what's going on back home in blighty as well as over here.
Certainly a bit more to take on, but we'll give it a go.
Nothing ventured, so nothing gained as the old saying goes, and believe me, I've certainly had a go at trying various things in my lifetime. Some good, and some that I care not to remember, but of course I will. It's the things I want to remember I forget nowadays.

Please feel free to post your comments, but try to keep them clean. We don't want to scare off our viewers, not just yet at least.

All that being said, lets get started with the first entry.

Cheers
Ray
